Rt. Hon. Baroness Sheila Hollins is emeritus professor of Psychiatry of Disability at London University, past chair of the British Medical Association’s Board of Science, past President of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and of the British Medical Association. She is a Crossbench Life Peer in the House of Lords and served as a psychiatrist for more than 30 years. She was a member or chair of various advisory councils and founder and executive chair of the charitable organization, Beyond Words. In 2014 she was appointed as a member of the Pontifical Commission for the Protection of Minors by Pope Francis.
